The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva circles away from the clinch attempt.
Silva shapes to counter with a head kick.
Silva fakes the leg kick and cracks Haley in the body.
Alessandro Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Silva.
Silva throws a leg kick which misses Haley's front leg but catches the back leg as Haley tries to avoid it.

Silva thuds his shin into the meat of Haley's side.

Silva throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Haley's head.
Haley tries to clinch there but Silva circles away.
Silva throws a big counter head kick but Haley avoids it with no problem.
Silva thuds his shin into the meat of Haley's side.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Silva connects with a high kick.
Haley dives in for a single leg takedown but Silva sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Silva breaks from the clinch.
Silva jabs Haley to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Haley misses with a takedown attempt

and Silva counters with a crisp one two that drops Haley! Silva thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Haley to his feet! Haley is in big trouble!
Haley is breathing heavily.
Haley misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Silva fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Haley looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Silva scores with a kick to the midsection.

Silva lands a big head kick that sends Haley tumbling to the mat! Silva takes a step backwards and waves Haley back to his feet - he wants the finish!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A nice leg kick lands there from Silva.
Whack! Silva lands a heavy head kick that drops Haley. The ref tackles Silva to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Haley was done.
