The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McCreey gets caught flat footed, as Sayer shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Sayer not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McCreey is trying to keep Sayer in close.
Sayer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McCreey swivels though and keeps the full guard.
McCreey is breathing heavily.
McCreey wants to stand but Sayer is controlling the position.

Sayer gets to his feet. McCreey looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
McCreey is trying desperately to improve position.
McCreey takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

McCreey is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Nate Sayer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Sayer fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Sayer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McCreey's waist but McCreey gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sayer off to one side.
Conor McCreey is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
McCreey tries to clinch up but Sayer circles away and keeps his distance.
Sayer throws the kick towards the body but McCreey avoids it.
McCreey slaps away a takedown attempt from Sayer, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Sayer closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Sayer is stalling here. McCreey is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Sayer seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and McCreey has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

McCreey moves in looking to clinch but Sayer pushes him off.

The fight stays on the outside here - McCreey looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

McCreey tries to close the distance and clinch but Sayer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

McCreey throws a left and a right that both miss

and Sayer counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Sayer wants to pass to mount but McCreey is defending the position.

Sayer seems to be looking for submissions.

Sayer thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McCreey's head.

McCreey looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Sayer takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
McCreey scores with a jab to the jaw.
McCreey slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Sayer gets the takedown into side control.
Nate Sayer is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
