This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Frank Brown! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Kenji Matsuda! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Matsuda clinches up against the ropes. Matsuda is trying to pull guard but Brown turns him against the ropes and we stay in the clinch. Brown has clasped his hands together around Matsuda's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Matsuda can do anything to dispel that myth. Matsuda really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brown. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Brown can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Matsuda is looking to escape. Brown moves to back control. And that's the end of the fight! Brown takes the fight on points by 14 to 4. A relieved looking Frank Brown thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. |
