And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Anakoni Kai!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Shimada.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Kai is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bob is just riding it out for now. Kai eventually gives up the hold.

Bob is trying to stick to Kai's back but Kai is turning into Bob. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Bob's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Kai.

Kai is looking for a sweep. Bob is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Kai tries to lock up and control but Bob gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Kai is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bob defends well.

Kai has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at White Eagle. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Kai controls Bob momentarily but Bob frees himself.

Kai working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bob doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bob manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
