This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 2 losses; Robert Munson! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Eric Draven!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Fujiwara.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious?
Munson gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Draven tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Munson just stands there and leans against the ropes.
Munson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Draven walks away with a smile on his face. Munson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Munson clinches with his opponent.
Draven pulls guard effortlessly.
Munson is stalling in the full guard.
Draven looking for a sweep. Not yet Draven, not yet.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Munson wants to pass the guard but Draven is keeping the position.
Draven is trying to control the position but Munson postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Munson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Draven is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Munson slips nicely into half guard.

Munson wants to free his trapped foot but Draven is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Draven is not content to let Munson control the position.

Draven won't allow Munson to pass to mount.
Munson is taking a breather. Draven says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Munson continues to stall.
Draven works his way to full guard. Good work.
Draven wants to sweep here but Munson controlling him for the moment.

Munson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Draven swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Munson is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Draven has his hands clasped together but Munson extends and breaks Draven's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Munson.
