Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Owen Carrillo (ranked 4458 p4p, 5227 weight class) and Brooks Warner (ranked 480 p4p, 512 weight class). Brooks Warner looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Owen Carrillo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brooks Warner!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Warner looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Carrillo has one foot on Warner's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Warner drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Carrillo has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Warner is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Warner tries to throw a body punch but Carrillo avoids it by throwing Warner back against the cage.

Warner pulls Carrillo into guard.

Carrillo stands and steps away. Warner gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Warner manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Carrillo on his heels. He'll look to pass Carrillo's guard now, I'm sure.
Carrillo seems keen to control Warner's posture.
Carrillo wants to stand but Warner is controlling the position.

Warner connects with a couple of short punches.
Carrillo will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Carrillo looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Carrillo tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Carrillo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Carrillo tries to get out of the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Carrillo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Warner defends it easily.
Warner wanted to stand there but Carrillo had control of the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Warner manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Carrillo on his heels. He'll look to pass Carrillo's guard now, I'm sure.

Carrillo is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Warner is controlling him.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Warner accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Warner distracts Carrillo with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Carrillo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Warner is aware though and is defending well.
Carrillo looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Carrillo is trying to control the position but Warner postures up.
Carrillo looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Carrillo controls Warner momentarily but Warner frees himself.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Warner.
Carrillo tries to control but Warner manages to take his back.
Carrillo just trying to survive but Warner is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Carrillo staying busy and making it hard for Warner to control.
Warner controlling well, preventing Carrillo from escaping the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Warner has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.

A close round but Brooks Warner will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Warner tries to close the distance and clinch up but Carrillo swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Warner tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Carrillo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carrillo wants to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Carrillo is trying to stand up here but Warner is controlling him well.
Carrillo tries to roll over but Warner keeps him under control.
Carrillo is trying to control but can't.
Warner is trying to control. Carrillo wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Warner stops Carrillo from getting back to his feet.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Warner looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Carrillo!

Carrillo tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Warner wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Brooks Warner has got the better of the ground game so far.
Carrillo stops Warner from passing to mount.
Carrillo tries to buck Warner off but Warner is having none of it.
Carrillo sneaks back into half guard.
Carrillo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Warner is working away from the top position though.
Carrillo wants to get back to full guard.

Warner scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Carrillo is looking to improve his position.
Carrillo trying to control but Warner postures up.
Carrillo wants to get back to full guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Carrillo trying to control from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Carrillo enables Warner to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Carrillo manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Warner is breathing heavily.

Brooks Warner showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Warner closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Warner feints and as Carrillo raises his hands in defense, Warner changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Carrillo is looking to stand back up but Warner counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Carrillo.

Carrillo is pressing down on Warner's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Carrillo wants to get back to his feet but Warner is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Brooks Warner comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Warner winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
