Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tatu Kurri (ranked 4549 p4p, 2249 weight class) and Ian Laperierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Laperierre is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Tha Shiznit. Ian Laperierre acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 22 - 21 - 0, fighting out of London, Tatu Kurri! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 19 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ian Laperierre! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Phil Schofield and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slow jab from Laperierre misses its intended target. Kurri appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Laperierre throws a shot from downtown. Kurri moves away and avoids it. Laperierre scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Kurri keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Laperierre fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kurri looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Laperierre shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kurri napping and manages to drive through into side control! Laperierre trying to control the action but Kurri is working from the bottom. Laperierre tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Laperierre remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Laperierre tries for a kimura. That's one minute gone in the round. Laperierre wants to control but Kurri is keeping him busy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Laperierre wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kurri, who protects the arm well. Laperierre has knee on belly and moves into mount. Laperierre is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Kurri is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Kurri flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Laperierre anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Kurri and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Laperierre slips an arm under Kurri chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Laperierre has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Laperierre is squeezing on Kurri like an anaconda would it's prey. Kurri fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ian Laperierre! A very excited looking Ian Laperierre made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction. Tatu Kurri was interviewed post fight and said 'ggwp'.
