Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Diego Lopez (ranked 3567 p4p, 3821 weight class) and Kakkos Salama (ranked 374 p4p, 394 weight class). Lopez comes to the cage accompanied by 2PAC - All Eyez on Me. Kakkos Salama told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salama bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Jab, jab by Lopez - just one landing.
Kakkos Salama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Salama takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Salama takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Lopez fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Lopez stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lopez wants it to stay on the feet.

Salama drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lopez wants to control but Salama postures up.
Salama is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Lopez is trying to escape and Salama transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Lopez is forced to tap! Nice work there by Salama! Very nice indeed!

Kakkos Salama tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
