Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexei Brovarnik (ranked 1777 p4p, 963 weight class) and Eddie Kekoa (ranked 229 p4p, 132 weight class). Brovarnik comes to the cage accompanied by Colours - DJ Mind X. Kekoa has chosen Freelance Fiend as his entrance music. Eddie Kekoa has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alexei Brovarnik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Eddie Kekoa!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Columbo Gatti and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kekoa circles away from the clinch attempt.
Brovarnik closes the distance but Kekoa moves to the side
and Kekoa counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kekoa needs to keep his hands up - Brovarnik had a free shot at his head there.

Kekoa moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Brovarnik goes down! Can Kekoa finish him!?

Brovarnik is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kekoa tries to free his leg and advance position but Brovarnik is retaining full guard.
Oh Brovarnik is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Brovarnik is desperately trying to improve his position but Kekoa has a good base and remains in mount.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kekoa is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Brovarnik can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Brovarnik is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kekoa's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kekoa's back!
Kekoa trying to control the action but Brovarnik just sinks the hooks in.

Kekoa got a little sloppy there for a moment and Brovarnik has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kekoa has managed to get both his arms back between Brovarnik's legs - danger averted.

Kekoa throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Brovarnik tumbling to the canvas!
Kekoa wants to stand but Brovarnik has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Brovarnik isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kekoa stacks Brovarnik on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kekoa!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Brovarnik tries to roll over but Kekoa keeps him under control.

Kekoa is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Brovarnik is just riding it out for now. Kekoa eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kekoa wants to control but Brovarnik is keeping him busy.

Kekoa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brovarnik keeps working.

Kekoa wants to stand up but Brovarnik is controlling the position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Kekoa looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Brovarnik wants to clinch up but Kekoa keeps it at a distance.
Brovarnik throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Kekoa has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Brovarnik is looking to slow Kekoa down with leg kicks.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Brovarnik doesn't manage to clinch there - Kekoa circles away.
Alexei Brovarnik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brovarnik wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

and Kekoa counters with a big takedown. That's hurt Brovarnik! Kekoa smells blood and goes in for the kill. Serveral hard shots later and the ref calls an end to the fight by TKO!
