Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between AJ Llewellyn (ranked 1522 p4p, 3806 weight class) and Gaultier Girard (ranked 187 p4p, 386 weight class). Llewellyn kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Doomsday. Gaultier Girard acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 19 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, AJ Llewellyn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 37 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gaultier Girard! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Bruno Lombardi and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Llewellyn looks to score with a jab to the body but Girard is just out of range. Girard uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Llewellyn. Girard tries to counter by closing the distance. Llewellyn throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Girard was covering up waiting for the punch and Llewellyn finishes the takedown easily into guard. Llewellyn slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Llewellyn controls the position. Girard is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Llewellyn has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Llewellyn seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Girard for as long as he can get away with. Girard really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Llewellyn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Llewellyn advances to mount. Llewellyn controlling the pace for now. Girard taking shots to the head. Girard taking shots to the head. Llewellyn fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Llewellyn has isolated one of Girard's arms. Girard looking to fight him off but Llewellyn twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
