The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Harvey shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Villa's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like Harvey might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Villa wants to control from the top but Harvey keeps moving.

Harvey bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Villa's guard.

Villa on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Villa tries to get out of the position.

Harvey thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Harvey stands up and beckons Villa to his feet.

Villa closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Villa stalling away here and it's allowed Harvey to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Villa tries to free his leg and advance position but Harvey is retaining full guard.
Harvey manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Villa manages to get himself to full guard.

Harvey passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Harvey is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Villa is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Harvey gets to mount! Villa was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Harvey is riding his opponent, not letting Villa buck him off.

Harvey has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Villa! Can he survive? No! He's out! Harvey gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
