The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khalidov fails with the takedown.
Khalidov is looking to clinch but Gentry is avoiding it.
Khalidov should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Gentry moves into the clinch.
Gentry lands a right hand that snaps the head of Khalidov backwards.
Gentry keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Khalidov's efforts to push away.

It looks like Mamed Khalidov has been cut.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Gentry takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Gentry for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

Gentry has Khalidov pressed up against the ropes in a tight Thai clinch. Khalidov is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Gentry - that's hurt Khalidov badly! Oh, another knee lands and Khalidov is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Khalidov doesn't seem to be complaining.
