PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ty Wong (ranked 2146 p4p, 2094 weight class) and Deuce McWrestler (ranked 100 p4p, 96 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ty Wong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Deuce McWrestler!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Micheangelo Fripello and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McWrestler stuffs the takedown attempt from Wong. Wong gets slowly back to his feet.
McWrestler shoots for a takedown but Wong saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Wong takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
McWrestler ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wong moves away.

McWrestler got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wong has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, McWrestler has managed to get both his arms back between Wong's legs - danger averted.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McWrestler lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ty Wong will probably get the nod.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
