PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luc Fontaine (ranked 3385 p4p, 3379 weight class) and Jan Blachowicz (ranked 350 p4p, 349 weight class). Jan Blachowicz struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 267.6lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fontaine fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Blachowicz fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Fontaine has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Blachowicz shoots in for a takedown but Fontaine shows good takedown defense.

Fontaine manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Blachowicz on his heels. He'll look to pass Blachowicz's guard now, I'm sure.

Fontaine drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fontaine jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
