Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Minatay Mibangon (ranked 23784 p4p, 23804 weight class) and Walay Buut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Walay Buut acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 28 - 44 - 9, fighting out of Las Vegas, Minatay Mibangon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 43 - 35 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walay Buut! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Buut stuffs the takedown. Buut is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Buut is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mibangon's half guard. Buut not doing much here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Let's hope that Buut has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mibangon is controlling Buut's position as best he can from this difficult position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buut is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Mibangon is trying to maintain the position but Buut is very close to passing his half guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mibangon closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Buut quickly recovers to half guard. Buut is trying to get back to full guard. Mibangon lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Buut is trying to control but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mibangon controlling the pace. Buut is doing well to control the position and prevent Mibangon from advancing to side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Buut looking for submissions off his back.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Buut misses with a takedown attempt - Mibangon sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Buut will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mibangon closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Buut quickly recovers to half guard. Buut desperately trying to maintain half guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Walay Buut will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Buut slaps away a takedown attempt from Mibangon, before circling back to the center of the mat. Mibangon gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buut is stalling in the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mibangon pulls Buut in close to prevent any damage. Mibangon can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Buut controls the pace. Buut being controlled here momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Mibangon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Buut engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Mibangon pulls Buut in close to his closed guard and prevents Buut from doing any damage or advancing position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut shoots in looking for a takedown but Mibangon manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Buut's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Buut tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mibangon sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Buut somewhat. Mibangon attempts a counter takedown but Buut avoids it well and moves away. Buut with a poor takedown and Mibangon counters with a big head kick but Buut shrugs it off. Minatay Mibangon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Walay Buut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Buut doesn't succeed with the takedown and Mibangon finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Buut defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mibangon. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mibangon throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Buut gets caught flat footed, as Mibangon shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Minatay Mibangon dominated that second round. That's time! Mibangon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round! Mibangon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Buut tries to avoid it but Mibangon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Buut to the ground. Buut escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Buut drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mibangon wants to get back to his feet but Buut drags him back down. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mibangon struggling a bit here. Buut trying to control the position but Mibangon is working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mibangon managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Buut.
Buut taking a breather here. Buut is continuing to stall. Walay Buut has got the better of the ground game so far.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Mibangon misses with a takedown attempt and Buut finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. No luck with that takedown attempt from Buut. Mibangon misses with a takedown attempt - Buut sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Buut throws a fast counter high kick but Mibangon manages to duck under it in time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Minatay Mibangon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut dives in and grabs Mibangon's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mibangon pushes down on Buut's head and hops out. Mibangon thinks about countering with a body kick. Mibangon stuffs the takedown attempt from Buut. Buut gets slowly back to his feet. And Mibangon counters with a quick kick to the body but Buut blocks it. Buut throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mibangon was covering up waiting for the punch and Buut finishes the takedown easily into guard. Mibangon is wriggling around but Buut manages to pass to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mibangon is looking to control Buut's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mibangon avoid being mounted?
And that's the end of the fight! Walay Buut comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Buut has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
