Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yoshihro Akiyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gandalf Grey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shigeki Sano and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk. Grey catches Akiyama right on the button with a cross.
Akiyama tries for a takedown but Grey sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Grey lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Akiyama circles away quickly and effectively.

and Akiyama counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Grey!
Akiyama has control of Grey's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Grey regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Grey avoids a series of strikes thrown by Akiyama.
Akiyama is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Grey has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Grey!

Akiyama creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Grey sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Grey is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Grey tries to clinch up.

and Grey counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Akiyama controls Grey momentarily but Grey frees himself.
Akiyama lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Grey!
Akiyama sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Grey is breathing heavily.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Akiyama is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Grey is surviving well by controlling Akiyama's body position as best he can.

Grey has left one of his arms exposed and Akiyama doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Grey screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
