Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ansastaja Chai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jacob Song!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Ackerman and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Song walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Song misses with the combination.
Song is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Chai's corner calls for a 1-2. Chai obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Song misses with a lunging right hand
and Chai cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Chai's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Chai duly obliges.
Chai lands a right hook to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Song rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Chai counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Song takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Chai's corner calls for a 1-2. Chai obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Song misses with a jab to the body
and Chai connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Song lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Chai circles away quickly and effectively.
An attempted straight right counter from Chai misses the target.
Song misses with a body punch
and Chai counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Chai is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Song looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Song swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Song takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Song on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Song throws a sloppy body shot
and Chai counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Song wants to clinch but Chai slips to the side
and Chai cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Chai is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Song fails in his attempt to clinch.
Song swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Song looks winded!
Chai throws out a powerful jab.
Chai connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Song's hands.
Song is rocked!
Song moves to clinch but Chai breaks away
and Chai counters with a crisp right hand that drops Song! Chai lets Song back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Song is still on wobbly legs! Can Chai finish him?
This has been an exciting period of action!
Song gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Chai points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Song wakes up just in time to hear Chai thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ansastaja Chai!
