Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Idaho tries to keep at a distance but Jafar has taken the fight into the clinch. Idaho manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Jafar trying to control the position from guard on top but Idaho is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jafar is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Rabid Dog that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Idaho is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Jafar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Jafar works a leg free and moves into half guard. Jafar tries to pass the half guard into mount. That's one minute gone in the round. Idaho tries to buck Jafar off but Jafar is having none of it. Idaho is still trying to improve position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jafar wants to control but Idaho is keeping him busy. Jafar tries to advance to mount but can't. You can see the frustration on Idaho's face as Jafar controls the position. Idaho tries to bench press Jafar off him but Jafar keeps the position. Idaho is sneaking out the side here.
