Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tetsuo Shima (ranked 1237 p4p, 24946 weight class) and Alan West (ranked 169 p4p, 529 weight class). Shima comes to the cage accompanied by The HU - Yuve Yuve Yu. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Tetsuo Shima!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alan West!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
West takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
West looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Shima cracks West with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! West looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Shima finish him?
It looks like Alan West has been cut.
West bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Shima comes at him with an uppercut from hell! West falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! West was out before he hit the floor!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tetsuo Shima!
An out of breath Tetsuo Shima thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
