Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kalle Kula (ranked 2075 p4p, 740 weight class) and Sparring John (ranked 276 p4p, 111 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Kalle Kula! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sparring John! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Steve Montenegro and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kula misses with a wild body shot. Kula closes the distance and lands a one-two. Good shot there by Kula. John scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Kula takes one to the chin there. Kula swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kula misses with the combination.
Kula bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Kula looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. John with a nice cross. A telegraphed right hand from John misses the target. It looked like Kula wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. This has been an exciting period of action! Kula scores with a shot to the body.
Kula throws a jab but it's blocked by John. Kula feints a jab promting John to slip. Kula then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. John slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Kula scores with a jab to the head.
John misses with a wild body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters circling - John throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Kula fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

John throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kula on the side of the head. Kula cracks John with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Kula sizes up John with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. John misses with a double jab
and Kula counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Kula's jab looks to have found its range, popping John under the eye. Kula scores with a push kick. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kula connects with a crisp jab. Kula bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Kula closes the distance and lands a one-two. That's two minutes gone in the round. John walks into a jab. Kula moves out of range of the strikes. Kula scores with a jab to the jaw. Kula misses with a double jab
enabling John to counter with a crisp jab. Kula falls off balance throwing a combination
and John counters with a lovely straight right hand! John rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kula moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Kula takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Kula pushing out the jab but it's not landing. A telegraphed right hand from John misses the target. John connects with a body shot. Nice body punch from John. Kula lands a slapping body shot.

That's three minutes gone in the round. John misses with a looping right. A jab from Kula misses. As Kula backs off John throws a huge counter combo but Kula manages to avoid it all. Kula takes a swing at John's ribcage but misses. The fighters circling - John throws out the jab but it was never going to land. and John counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. John takes a swing at Kula's ribcage but misses. John bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. John throws the left hand but Kula avoids the punch easily. Kula misses with a right hand and John cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Kalle Kula has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! John looks to land a right hand but Kula moved out of range. Kula throws a looping overhand right but John ducks down to avoid it. Nice body punch from John. Kula throws an overhand right that lands on John's shoulder, as John tries to avoid the shot. John scores with a body shot.
Kula bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. John ducks under a wild hook from Kula. John throws a body punch but Kula moves out of range. Kula lands a slapping body shot.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kula throws a right hand that John ducks under and follows up with a left that John also avoids with ease. John throws a big shot that misses. Kula appears to be looking for a big counter. John takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Kula misses with the combination.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kalle Kula will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Kalle Kula's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Kula steps to the side to avoid the strikes from John. John throws a right hand that misses
and Kula counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps John thinking. A slow jab from Kula misses its intended target. John defending well as Kula loads up on a big left hand. Kula tries a head kick but it misses.
John appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. John avoids a lazy jab quite easily. John with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kula to score with a decent uppercut. Kula uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from John. A cross from John lands. Kula throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Kula keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from John. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. John uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kula. Kula throws a left and a right that both miss
and John counters with a stiff right hand. Kula throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting John counter with a right hand. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kula throws out a powerful jab. Kula throws a jab when John was well out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. John moves away from the strike by Kula. John throws a right and a left that both miss. A cross from Kula lands. John cracks Kula with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. John has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Kula to stand back up!
Kula is rocked! Kula loses concentration momentarily and John pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Kula crashes face first to the mat, out cold! John finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Sparring John! Sparring John decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
