Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Man Man (ranked 4051 p4p, 23856 weight class) and Paul Pinsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Man Man!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paul Pinsky!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man tries to clinch but Pinsky is having none of it.
Man is looking to clinch.
Pinsky tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pinsky is defended easily by Man.

Man shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Pinsky is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Man dives into side control.


Man is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Pinsky is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Pinsky tries to buck Man off but Man is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Man blocks the strikes from Pinsky.
Pinsky tries to strike but it doesn't land.

Man winds up and cracks Pinsky with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Pinsky throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Man moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Pinsky.
Pinsky wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.

Pinsky throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Pinsky has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Man is on him like a limpet, forcing Pinsky back against the cage.

Pinsky pulls Man into guard.
Pinsky doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Man trying to control the position from guard on top but Pinsky is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Pinsky looking for a guillotine here but Man defends easily.
Pinsky looks winded!
Man wants to control from the top but Pinsky keeps moving.
Pinsky looking to hit a scissor sweep but Man is one step ahead there.
Man could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Man has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Pinsky escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Man gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Pinsky is looking for a triangle but Man pushes his legs off easily.
Man knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pinsky on the ground.
Man tries to stand but Pinsky is controlling from the bottom.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Pinsky clinches.
Pinsky tries for a takedown but Man manages to get underhooks.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Man tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Pinsky smiles and moves away.
Man fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Man doesn't manage to clinch there - Pinsky circles away.
Pinsky throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Man swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pinsky shoots in looking for a takedown. Man tries to sprawl out of it but Pinsky keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Man manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Man Man has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Pinsky.
Pinsky throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Man's waist but Man gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pinsky off to one side.
Man swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Man tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pinsky paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Man wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Pinsky tries to keep at a distance but Man has taken the fight into the clinch.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Paul Pinsky will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Man looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Man tries to clinch up but Pinsky circles away and keeps his distance.
Pinsky changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Pinsky shoots for a double leg takedown but Man sprawls well. He's pushed Pinsky's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Nice sprawl there from Pinsky as Man shoots in.
Man throws a head kick but Pinsky moves out of range.
Pinsky throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

It looks like Man Man has been cut.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Man.
Pinsky tries a quick counter leg kick but Man is wise to it.
Man displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pinsky.
As Pinsky tries to get set, Man tries to push him back and clinch up but Pinsky manages to avoid the attempt.
A chopping leg kick lands by Pinsky.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pinsky buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Pinsky shoots in but Man avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Man appears to be looking for a big counter.
Man Man has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Pinsky.
Man misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Man stuffs the takedown.
Paul Pinsky seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
A solid leg kick lands there for Pinsky.
Horrible takedown attempt by Pinsky or perhaps it was just good defense by Man, which made it look bad.
Paul Pinsky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Man fails to land the takedown.

Pinsky takes the fight into the clinch.
Pinsky is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Man gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Man lands with a light punch inside.

Pinsky pulls guard successfully.
Pinsky has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Man pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pinsky is keeping the position for now.

Pinsky looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Pinsky has his foot on Man's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Man works his way back into a safe position though.

Pinsky is looking for a triangle here but Man uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Pinsky throws Man to one side and escapes!
Man tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pinsky swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Pinsky is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Man's half guard.
Pinsky wants to pass to mount but Man is defending the position.
Pinsky has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Pinsky not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Man is looking for a sweep. Pinsky is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Pinsky thows a huge punch but Man dodges it nicely.
Man is looking to control Pinsky's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Man avoid being mounted?
Pinsky takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Pinsky decides to stand up.

Pinsky gets the takedown into side control.

Pinsky is trying to get an arm triangle but Man is defending well.
Man is looking for a sweep.

Man takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Pinsky has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Man is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Pinsky yanks on the arm and Man is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Pinsky.
