Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stanley Reynolds (ranked 3827 p4p, 355 weight class) and Paul Nichols (ranked 448 p4p, 49 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stanley Reynolds! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Paul Nichols! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Donald Grub and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good work by Nichols as he checks the leg kick. Nichols throws out a counter right but Reynolds avoids it with no problem. Reynolds tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Reynolds avoids the body shot from Nichols.
Reynolds lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nichols circles away quickly and effectively. Nichols swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Nichols looks to score with a jab to the body but Reynolds is just out of range. Reynolds changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Reynolds falls off balance throwing a combination
and Nichols counters with a nice uppercut. Reynolds definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Reynolds moves in looking to clinch but Nichols pushes him off. A countering left hand to the body from Nichols misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Reynolds avoids the body shot from Nichols.
Reynolds looks to clinch and Nichols counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Reynolds looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Nichols is fending him off so far but Reynolds persists. Nope, Nichols circles away and we're back to standing. Nichols punishes Reynolds's body with a nice straight punch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reynolds is looking to chop away at Nichols's legs. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Nichols! But no joy. Nichols looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Reynolds doesn't succeed with the takedown and Nichols counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Reynolds is breathing heavily. Reynolds wants to clinch but Nichols slips to the side and Nichols counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Reynolds shoots in looking for a takedown. Nichols tries to sprawl out of it but Reynolds keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Nichols manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stanley Reynolds. That's going to take a lot out of him. Reynolds gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Nichols counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Nichols works the jab nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nichols scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Reynolds just misses with a punch to the body.
Nichols appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Nichols throws a jab when Reynolds was well out of range. Reynolds appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Reynolds dives in for a single leg takedown but Nichols sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Nichols escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Reynolds tries to clinch up and Nichols counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Stanley Reynolds has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Reynolds shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Nichols as he jumps to the side. Nichols is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Reynolds with a body shot. Reynolds misses with a takedown attempt and Nichols counters with a crisp right hand that drops Reynolds! Nichols lets Reynolds back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Reynolds is rocked! Nichols lands a brutal uppercut that launches Reynolds off his feet! Reynolds tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Paul Nichols!
