Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between River Waters (ranked 3822 p4p, 836 weight class) and Bernardo Cabral (ranked 447 p4p, 116 weight class). Cabral has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. River Waters is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, River Waters! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bernardo Cabral! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Waters has taken the fight to the clinch.
Cabral manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cabral looks winded! Waters sitting in guard, not really doing much. Cabral looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Waters tries to free his leg and advance position but Cabral is retaining full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Waters showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Waters loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Waters definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cabral trying to control the position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Waters tries to clinch up but Cabral circles away and keeps his distance. Waters tries to clinch there but Cabral circles away.
Waters rushes Cabral and presses him up against the cage. Waters tries to pull guard but Cabral holds him up against the cage and eventually Waters drops back down to his feet.
Cabral looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Waters jumps guard but Cabral stands there with Waters around his waist. Waters gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Cabral jumps guard.
Cabral is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Waters is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Cabral has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Waters is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Cabral. Waters staying calm.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cabral tries to bench press Waters off him but Waters keeps the position. Waters controls the position from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Cabral struggling a bit here. Waters has control of an arm but Cabral manages to advance to Waters's back! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! I really don't envy Waters right now.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Bernardo Cabral will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Bernardo Cabral's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Waters wants to clinch. Cabral feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Waters escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cabral gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Waters wants to sweep here but Cabral controlling him for the moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Waters pulls Cabral in to control the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Waters has his feet on Cabral's thighs here. He's pushed Cabral off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Cabral screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
