Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lasse Virinen (ranked 2667 p4p, 5439 weight class) and Dwight Shrute (ranked 348 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Virinen might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Rumble. Shrute has chosen Battlestart Galactica theme as his entrance music. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shrute's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Virinen connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Shrute scrambles back to his feet.
Shrute looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
A nice leg kick from Virinen, right into the meat of the thigh.
We've been told by Virinen's head coaches at SYDNEY ELITE GYM that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Virinen circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Shrute drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Virinen follows Shrute to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lasse Virinen!
After winning the bout, Lasse Virinen thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
