Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Minatay Mibangon (ranked 23763 p4p, 23783 weight class) and Walay Buut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 28 - 45 - 9, fighting out of Las Vegas, Minatay Mibangon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 44 - 35 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walay Buut! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Mibangon displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Buut. Mibangon quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Mibangon is trying hard to land a takedown here. Buut sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Mibangon looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Buut! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buut struggling a bit here. Buut seems a little lost for a moment, as Mibangon dominates the positioning. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's one minute gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Buut takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. You can see the frustration on Buut's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Buut is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. A lull in the action here as Mibangon stalls from top position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Mibangon shoots in for a takedown but Buut shows good takedown defense. Buut shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mibangon's guard. Buut slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut is fighting to break Mibangon's control of his arms but Mibangon is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Buut trying to control the position from guard on top but Mibangon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Buut looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buut throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mibangon's waist but Mibangon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Buut off to one side. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Walay Buut will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Mibangon shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Buut's guard. Mibangon slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Buut seems keen to control Mibangon's posture. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mibangon won't allow Buut to sweep him here. Mibangon content to stall in guard here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Buut is trying to control but can't.
Minatay Mibangon overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Mibangon takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Mibangon tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Buut swivels and escapes. Buut throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mibangon's waist but Mibangon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Buut off to one side. Buut lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mibangon shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Buut but Buut pushes him off and we're back to square one. Buut tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mibangon sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Buut somewhat. Mibangon throws a big counter combination but Buut scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Buut is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mibangon's half guard. Mibangon keeping hold of Buut's head, controlling as best he can. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buut trying to control the pace. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Walay Buut will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Mibangon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round! Buut tries for a takedown but Mibangon sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Buut dives in and grabs Mibangon's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mibangon pushes down on Buut's head and hops out. Mibangon is trying hard to land a takedown here. Buut sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. As Mibangon backs off Buut throws a huge counter combo but Mibangon manages to avoid it all. Excellent takedown into side control there by Mibangon. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mibangon working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mibangon trying to control the position but Buut is working away. Mibangon laying and praying for a moment but Buut takes advantage and regains half guard. Buut wants to control but Mibangon is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Buut is concentrating on defense, preventing Mibangon from advancing position. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Still in half guard, Mibangon seems content to control.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Buut. Buut scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. You can see the frustration on Mibangon's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Mibangon is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mibangon seems a little lost for a moment, as Buut dominates the positioning. Mibangon is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Buut's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Mibangon is looking to control Buut's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mibangon avoid being mounted? Mibangon keeping hold of Buut's head, controlling as best he can.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Minatay Mibangon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mibangon shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Buut manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Minatay Mibangon showed his dominance in that final round. I think Buut has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
