Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Higanti Libat (ranked 23474 p4p, 23716 weight class) and Wala Sapi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 32 - 47 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Higanti Libat! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 36 - 40 - 7, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wala Sapi! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Libat shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sapi sprawls well. Sapi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Libat gets slowly back to his feet. Sapi is trying to counter with his kicks. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. No luck with that takedown attempt from Libat. Sapi is trying to counter with his kicks. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Libat tried to score with a low kick but Sapi checks it. Sapi counters with a body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Libat dives in and grabs Sapi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sapi pushes down on Libat's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Higanti Libat. That's going to take a lot out of him. Libat drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Sapi is pulling down on Libat's head to control his posture. Sapi's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sapi looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Libat is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Sapi pulls Libat in to control the position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Libat shoots in looking for a takedown. Sapi tries to sprawl out of it but Libat keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sapi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Sapi replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Libat blocks it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sapi misses with a body kick. Libat quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Sapi drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Libat has Sapi pulled in close to control his posture. Libat trying to keep a closed guard but Sapi is proving a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Libat is controlling Sapi's posture. Sapi loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Libat wants to improve his position but instead Sapi has moved into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Wala Sapi dominated that round. That's time! Libat's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Libat throws a half hearted mid kick. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Sapi. Libat went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Libat shoots in for a takedown but Sapi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Sapi steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Libat shoots for a takedown but Sapi saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Sapi is trying to counter with his kicks. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sapi looks for a takedown but Libat sprawls well. Libat tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Sapi manages to circle out of the way.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sapi is trying hard to land a takedown here. Libat sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Sapi dives in for a single leg takedown but Libat sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Higanti Libat has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wala Sapi. Sapi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Libat swivels and escapes. Libat tried to counter with a leg kick but Sapi avoided it. Libat throws a wild body kick that Sapi sees coming a mile off. Sapi thinks about the counter body kick. Sapi looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Libat lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Sapi moves out of range of the body kick. Sapi fails with a takedown attempt. And Libat counters with a quick kick to the body but Sapi blocks it. Libat misses with a takedown attempt - Sapi sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sapi fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Libat sprawls well initially but Sapi persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Sapi not doing much here.
Libat is trying to control but Sapi passes into side control!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Libat being controlled for a moment. Libat is looking for a sweep. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Higanti Libat will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round! Sapi leaves Libat with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Libat shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sapi slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Libat controls from within his opponent's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Libat being controlled here momentarily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Libat stays in close to Sapi's body and controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sapi is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Sapi misses with a head kick.
No luck for Sapi with that takedown attempt. Libat shoots in and bounces Sapi off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Libat looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Sapi pulls Libat in to control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Higanti Libat showed his dominance in that final round. I think Libat has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
