Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Vercetti (ranked 2287 p4p, 2247 weight class) and Jeff Lee (ranked 214 p4p, 213 weight class). Vercetti comes to the cage accompanied by Vice City. Lee has chosen Doomsday Clock as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lee is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Lee tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Vercetti throws out a loose jab but Lee uses good head movement to avoid it.
Lee looks to throw the jab but Vercetti is out of range.
Lee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

A punch lands to the side of Vercetti 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Vercetti lands a left and a right that send Lee crashing to the mat, dazed. Vercetti thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Vercetti clobbers Lee with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Lee has Vercetti up against the cage in a clinch.
Lee lands a nice elbow.
A frustrated look appears on Lee's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Lee lands a hook that snaps the head of Vercetti backwards.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Lee.

Lee breaks from the clinch.
Vercetti fails to land with a series of punches.
Nice shot lands for Vercetti.
Vercetti fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lee looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Lee thuds his right hand into Vercetti's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Vercetti connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Lee drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Lee is rocked!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Vercetti pounces like a tiger and cracks Lee with a vicious hook! Lee is down but not out! Vercetti follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
