Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hornink Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Crew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Crew has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Hornink Griffin's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Crew! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crew circles away from the clinch attempt.
A punch combination from Griffin misses. Griffin is looking to clinch. Griffin fails in his attempt to clinch. Griffin on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
It looks like Hornink Griffin has been cut. Crew misses with a combination
and Griffin makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Griffin tries for a takedown but Crew sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Griffin is looking to clinch. A low kick from Crew misses and Griffin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Griffin ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
That's one minute gone in the round. Horrible takedown by Crew or perhaps it was just good defense by Griffin which made him look bad. A punch combination from Crew misses. Griffin fails miserably with a takedown attempt. A slow jab from Crew misses its intended target. Crew misses with a double jab
and Griffin counters with a nice double leg into guard. Griffin trying to control but Crew is working from the bottom. Griffin is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crew looking for a sweep. Not yet Crew, not yet. Griffin avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Crew is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Crew takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Griffin is refusing to be controlled, as Crew sits in half guard. That's three minutes gone in the round. Crew prevents Griffin from improving his position. Crew passes to side control. The ground and pound from Crew seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Crew moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Crew wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Griffin, who protects the arm well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crew advances to full mount. Griffin on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Griffin tries to get out of the position. Crew tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Griffin is squirming around, avoiding Crew's attempts to control the action. Crew has hold of Griffin's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Griffin manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Crew throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Crew dominated that round. The cut man is working on Hornink Griffin's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Both fighters working to control the clinch. Crew looking for a takedown. Griffin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Crew rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Griffin moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Crew misses with a straight right. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Griffin attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crew tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Griffin fails with a takedown attempt. Griffin doesn't manage to clinch there - Crew circles away.
Crew darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Griffin wants to clinch up but Crew keeps it at a distance. Crew rushes Griffin and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crew tries for a takedown. No joy.
Griffin wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Crew changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Griffin fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Hornink Griffin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Crew. Crew defending well as Griffin loads up on a big left hand. Crew misses with a head kick.
Oooh a lovely combination from Crew sends Griffin down but not out. Crew dives into side control looking to finish. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Griffin parries the strikes from Crew easily there. Crew is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Griffin to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crew trying to control the position but Griffin is working away. Griffin is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Crew is controlling him well. Crew is looking to take a break and control but Griffin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The ground and pound from Crew seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Crew creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Griffin sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Crew misses with the ground and pound.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Griffin avoids the body shot from Crew.
Crew throws a combination that misses and Griffin counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Griffin takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Good work by Griffin as he checks the leg kick. Nice takedown defense from Griffin. No joy for Crew on that attempt. Crew scores with a hook.
Hornink Griffin's cut is getting worse. Crew misses with a wild combination.

John Crew showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Hornink Griffin's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Crew sprawls well initially but Griffin persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Crew gets back to full guard.

Griffin looking for submissions off his back. Crew is trying to control. Griffin wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Crew frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Crew looking to control and managing it successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Crew is in the full mount, landing strikes. Crew putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crew tries to control but Griffin wriggling away. Griffin is in a horrible position here. Crew smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Crew wants to finish this one by submission but Griffin is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Crew.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crew trying to control but Griffin is having none of it. Crew misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
John Crew is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Crew looking to control and managing it successfully. Griffin is trying desperately to improve position.
