Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Wang clinches up against the ropes. Wang tightens his grip and picks Kulik up, before dumping him to the ground. Kulik manages to land in guard. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Kulik is squirming around, avoiding Wang's attempts to control the action. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Well,Kulik is on his way to losing a decision here. Can he use his experience to pull something off in the closing minutes? Wang looking to control but Kulik is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Kulik is trying to escape the mount.

Wang might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kulik haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Wang sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Wang is stalling here but it's allowed Kulik to get half guard.

That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. It looks like Wang might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Wang tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kulik knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Wang with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kulik wants to control but Wang is keeping busy and won't allow it. Wang wants to take a breather but Kulik is having none of it.
And that's the end of the fight! Wang wins on points by 5 to 0. Our winner, Long Wang, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans. |
