Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Trump shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Gracie is trying to defend but Trump finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Gracie has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Trump is working away from the top position though. We've been hearing good reports from Trump's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Trump slows the pace down in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Trump wants to pass the guard but Gracie is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Trump takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Gracie wants to control but Trump is keeping busy and won't allow it. Gracie is refusing to be controlled, as Trump sits in half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Trump in particular looking to stall. Trump seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Gracie for as long as he can get away with.

Trump is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gracie is just riding it out for now. Trump eventually gives up the hold. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Gracie trying to hold on to Trump's head to control him but Trump postures up.
