PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cocaine Mitch (ranked 683 p4p, 1028 weight class) and Jeremy Kilgore (ranked 108 p4p, 151 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Kilgore's choice of entrance music: HonestKey- Change. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cocaine Mitch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeremy Kilgore!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kilgore gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Mitch counters with a thumping low kick.
Kilgore misses with a kick to the body.
Kilgore is looking to clinch but Mitch is avoiding it.
Kilgore staying out of range there.
Mitch connects with a body shot.
An inside leg kick from Kilgore misses.
Kilgore moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Kilgore lands a head shot.
Kilgore's coach down at Temple of Fitness was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kilgore's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kilgore moves into range and clinches up with Mitch.
Mitch lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Kilgore goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Mitch.
Mitch lands a hook that snaps the head of Kilgore backwards.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mitch misses with a body punch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mitch lands a hook to the side of the head.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Kilgore.
Kilgore struggles to land a body shot inside as Mitch controls his hands.
Kilgore swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Kilgore stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Mitch swings wildly with an uppercut but Kilgore uses good head movement to avoid it.
Mitch blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Mitch stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Mitch swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Mitch misses with some punches.
Kilgore misses with a body punch.
Mitch working aggressively here.

Mitch's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Mitch lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Mitch throws a big shot that misses.
Kilgore shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Mitch walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Kilgore checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kilgore scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Kilgore takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mitch lands with an overhand left.
Kilgore takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Mitch lands a nice looking body kick.
Kilgore connects with an inside leg kick.

Mitch lands a big head kick that sends Kilgore tumbling to the mat! Mitch takes a step backwards and waves Kilgore back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Kilgore is rocked!
Mitch throws a body kick that misses.
Kilgore is still on wobbly legs! Can Mitch finish him?
Mitch with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Mitch lands with a nice body kick.
Mitch uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kilgore.
Kilgore seems to have recovered his senses.
Mitch lands a jab to Kilgore's midsection.
Kilgore looks winded!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mitch missing with a left hand there. Kilgore was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Kilgore is trying to counter with his kicks.
Mitch lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Kilgore falls backwards - clearly groggy! Mitch dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cocaine Mitch!
Post fight, an emotional Cocaine Mitch said 'Thanks for playing.'.
