And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jacob Song!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Paul Tew and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Igwe with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Igwe lands a really nice looking cross but Song seems unphased.
Song throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A quick step to the side and Igwe tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Igwe keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Song drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Jacob Song seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Igwe fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Song looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Song gets tackled into the cage by Igwe. Igwe maintains the clinch.
Song is looking to break free of the clinch but Igwe has double underhooks.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Igwe counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Song thinking.

Song has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Igwe.
Jacob Song is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Song swings for the body but Igwe moves out of range.
Song walks into a jab.
Igwe is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Igwe cracks Song with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Igwe has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Song to stand back up!
Song is rocked!
Ziko Igwe is winning the standup battle so far.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Song is still on wobbly legs! Can Igwe finish him?
Song takes one on the button.
Igwe lands a head shot.
Igwe cracks Song on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Song falls backwards against the cage. Igwe follows up with more strikes that drop Song to his knees. Igwe keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Song! This one is all over!
