Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leon Ardo Laks (ranked 3896 p4p, 5602 weight class) and Nelson Blanchard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Nelson Blanchard was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laks swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Blanchard counters with a takedown into side control.
Blanchard looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Laks wants to control but Blanchard postures up.
Laks manages to get back to half guard.
Blanchard missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Laks makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Laks.

Blanchard connects with a couple of short punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Blanchard lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Laks looking to hit a scissor sweep but Blanchard is one step ahead there.

Blanchard stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Laks has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Blanchard manages to get his head free but now Laks has transitioned to an armbar! Blanchard grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Laks! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
