Shart looking to score a takedown here. Hughes is defending well but Shart drives through and ends up in Hughes's guard.

Hughes looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hughes is trying to control the position but Shart postures up.
Shart is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Shart wants to control from the top but Hughes keeps moving.
Hughes wants to sweep but no luck.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shart content to stall in guard here.
Hughes not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Shart trying to control the position from guard on top but Hughes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Shart will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Shart stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hughes swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hughes had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Shart defends it easily.

Shart drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hughes manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Shart has Hughes in his guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Shart holds on and takes a little breather.

Shart is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hughes defends well.
Shart pulls Hughes in close to his closed guard and prevents Hughes from doing any damage or advancing position.

Shart preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Hughes wants to take a breather but Shart is having none of it.
Shart is looking to control Hughes's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Shart avoid being mounted?
Hughes wants to lay and pray for a moment but Shart keeps working.

Hughes has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Shart defend it? Hughes steps over the head and cranks it - Shart is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Hughes!
