Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Maxi Hernandez (ranked 1712 p4p, 2521 weight class) and Shahzad Abdelrahman (ranked 225 p4p, 305 weight class). Hernandez comes to the cage accompanied by Machete. Abdelrahman is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Blow The Whistle. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Maxi Hernandez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shahzad Abdelrahman!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paulsen Ambrosius and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hernandez fails to land the takedown.
No luck for Hernandez with that takedown attempt.
Abdelrahman throws out a loose jab but Hernandez uses good head movement to avoid it.
Hernandez attempts a counter takedown but Abdelrahman avoids it well and moves away.
Hernandez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Abdelrahman as he avoids it easily.

Hernandez misses with a takedown attempt - Abdelrahman sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Hernandez shoots in looking for a takedown. Abdelrahman tries to sprawl out of it but Hernandez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Abdelrahman manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A little jabbing left from Abdelrahman on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Hernandez shoots in for a takedown but Abdelrahman shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Hernandez has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Dr Hatsumi's Clinic in the buildup to the fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hernandez tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Abdelrahman swivels and escapes.
A decent looking cross lands there for Abdelrahman.

Abdelrahman feints and then cracks Hernandez's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hernandez down.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Abdelrahman pushes Hernandez away with a front kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Abdelrahman.
Hernandez takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Abdelrahman throws a nice looking combination but Hernandez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
No joy there for Abdelrahman, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Shahzad Abdelrahman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hernandez is trying hard to land a takedown here. Abdelrahman sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Abdelrahman dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Hernandez on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Abdelrahman moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Oh Hernandez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Abdelrahman counters with a nice uppercut.
Abdelrahman lands a brutal uppercut that launches Hernandez off his feet! Hernandez tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
