Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Young Dood (ranked 4124 p4p, 4031 weight class) and Walther Kerkel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Young Dood! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Walther Kerkel! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Paulo Santos and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kerkel bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Kerkel in side control, just content to control the action for now. Kerkel decides to take the fight back to the feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kerkel displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dood. Kerkel tries to sprawl but Dood drives through with a takedown into half guard. Kerkel is on the bottom, trying to hold on to half guard. He's throwing a few small shots here, to keep his opponent honest.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kerkel kicks Dood off and gets back to his feet. Kerkel moves into the clinch. Kerkel stops a takedown attempt from Dood.
Dood taking a breather. Kerkel jumps guard.
Kerkel wants to sweep here but Dood controlling him for the moment. Kerkel is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Dood knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kerkel on the ground. Kerkel with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Kerkel works his foot free and advances to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kerkel controlling his opponent. Kerkel is standing up, even though he is in mount. Dood connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dood blocks a head kick by Kerkel.
Dood gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kerkel to score an easy takedown into full guard. Dood has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Kerkel has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Kerkel tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Dood smiles and moves away.
Kerkel throws a left and a right that both miss
and Dood counters with a nice uppercut. Kerkel closes the distance and clinches. Kerkel pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kerkel forces Dood back against the cage and clinches. Kerkel has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Dood is trying to keep an underhook but Kerkel manages to get the takedown into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Well, if Kerkel is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Dood wants to control but Kerkel is keeping busy and won't allow it. Kerkel blocks the strikes from Dood.
Kerkel with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Dood is looking to control Kerkel's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dood avoid being mounted?
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Walther Kerkel dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Kerkel closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dood to the mat! Dood manages to get full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kerkel sitting in guard here, content to control. Kerkel trying to control but Dood is working from the bottom. Dood looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kerkel is one step ahead there. Kerkel is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dood is working an open guard so Kerkel takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dood throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kerkel gets a double leg takedown into Dood's guard. Dood looking to control.
Walther Kerkel has got the better of the ground game so far. Kerkel trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Dood is trying to keep Kerkel in close.
Dood striking off his back but it's not causing Kerkel any problems. Kerkel is stalling in the full guard. Let's hope that Kerkel has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dood working a defensive guard here.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Kerkel looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Kerkel has closed the distance and engaged Dood in a clinch.
Kerkel is pressed up against the cage. Dood has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kerkel down to the mat. Kerkel avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dood tries to sprawl but Kerkel drives through with a takedown into half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Dood is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kerkel sitting and controlling from the half guard. Kerkel winds up and cracks Dood with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Kerkel has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kerkel stands up out of the half guard. Dood shoots in but Kerkel avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. No luck for Dood with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Young Dood. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dood fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kerkel manages to avoid it. Kerkel shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kerkel stands up from half guard. Kerkel throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Dood tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kerkel is in Dood's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kerkel makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Kerkel slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Walther Kerkel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Kerkel shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dood's guard. Kerkel stands up and waves to Dood to follow him. Kerkel gets a double leg takedown into Dood's guard. Kerkel looking to control the position here, rather than advance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dood throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kerkel controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Kerkel postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Kerkel not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Kerkel is continuing to stall. The adventures of Kerkel the control monster continue. Boring. Kerkel chips away with some ground and pound. Kerkel showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kerkel slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Kerkel content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Dood wants to control but Kerkel postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here as Kerkel stalls from top position. Dood is trying to control Kerkel's posture but Kerkel avoids it. Kerkel is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dood has escaped the position, nice work there. Dood takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Kerkel decides to stand back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kerkel shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Kerkel is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Ground and pound from Kerkel. Kerkel takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dood trying to control here.
And that's the end of the fight! Walther Kerkel comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Kerkel winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
