The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boytsov throws out a powerful jab.
Highwind takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Boytsov misses with a body shot
and Highwind counters with an outside leg kick.
Boytsov misses with an uppercut
and Highwind makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Boytsov fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Highwind punishes Boytsov's body with a nice straight punch.
Highwind lands with a right hand.
Boytsov swings away with a body shot that misses
enabling Highwind to counter with a crisp jab.
Boytsov tries to clinch up.
Boytsov paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Highwind counters with a crisp right hand that drops Boytsov! Highwind lets Boytsov back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Boytsov is rocked!
Highwind throws a hook to the side of Boytsov's head but Boytsov sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Dmitry Boytsov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Highwind ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Highwind lands a jab to Boytsov's midsection.
Boytsov tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Highwind throws a quick inside leg kick.
Boytsov fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Highwind avoids it really well and circles away.

As Boytsov backs away, Highwind returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

and Highwind counters with a nice right hand that sends Boytsov toppling to the canvas! Boytsov scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Highwind finish him?!

It looks like Dmitry Boytsov has been cut.
Vadius Highwind has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dmitry Boytsov.
Boytsov misses with an uppercut.

Nice takedown defense from Highwind. No joy for Boytsov on that attempt.

and Highwind counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Boytsov badly! Highwind follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Boytsov out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Highwind finished him against the cage.
