PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rustam Kadurov (ranked 906 p4p, 1844 weight class) and Kimmo Peramaki (ranked 129 p4p, 221 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rustam Kadurov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kimmo Peramaki!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kadurov swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Peramaki lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kadurov, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Rustam Kadurov was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
