Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dave Alexander!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Paulo Santos and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos goes for a double leg but Alexander avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Alexander continues to drive forward.

Alexander's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Santos shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Alexander as he jumps to the side.
As Santos backs off Alexander throws a huge counter combo but Santos manages to avoid it all.
Alexander slips under a jab.
Alexander is trying to counter with his kicks.
Alexander stuffs the takedown attempt from Santos. Santos gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leonardo Santos. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Santos misses with an uppercut. Alexander saw that one coming.
Santos fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Alexander manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Santos on his heels. He'll look to pass Santos's guard now, I'm sure.

Santos is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Santos looking for a triangle here. Alexander is fighting it but it looks tight! Santos pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Alexander is tapping out - this one is all over!

Leonardo Santos decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
