The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Sano and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yoshida moves in looking to clinch but Magomedov pushes him off.
Magomedov drops down looking for a counter takedown but Yoshida sprawls and moves away.
Yoshida gets caught napping as Magomedov dives in and scores a takedown. Yoshida manages to retain guard.

Magomedov drops back looking for a leg! Yoshida is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Yoshida manages to kick Magomedov off! Magomedov jumps back into Yoshida's guard.
Magomedov slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Yoshida can do anything to dispel that myth.
Magomedov has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Yoshida is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Magomedov yanks on the arm and Yoshida is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Magomedov.
