Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Derwent Bolt (ranked 1989 p4p, 1985 weight class) and Loki Kvakkestad (ranked 264 p4p, 263 weight class). Kvakkestad has chosen Contempt - Jucifer as his entrance music. Loki Kvakkestad will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 14 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Derwent Bolt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Loki Kvakkestad! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bolt swings for the body but Kvakkestad moves out of range.
Kvakkestad dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Bolt throws a body shot but no joy. Kvakkestad stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kvakkestad wants it to stay on the feet. Bolt throws a sloppy body shot
and Kvakkestad counters with a stiff right hand. Kvakkestad scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Bolt moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Bolt shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kvakkestad defends it nicely. Bolt's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kvakkestad connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Bolt scrambles back to his feet. Bolt has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Kvakkestad tries to bum rush Bolt with a series of wild strikes but Bolt uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Kvakkestad throws a series of punches but Bolt moves out of range. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kvakkestad has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Bolt takes a swing at Kvakkestad's ribcage but misses. Bolt feints and as Kvakkestad raises his hands in defense, Bolt changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Bolt trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bolt trying to control the position from guard on top but Kvakkestad is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bolt controls from within his opponent's guard. Kvakkestad trying to keep a closed guard but Bolt is proving a slippery customer.
Bolt controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Bolt looking to pass the guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bolt controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Kvakkestad looking to control.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bolt blocks the body kick.
Bolt drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kvakkestad can't do much from the bottom here. The referee asks Bolt politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Bolt prefers to stall for the moment though. Bolt wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kvakkestad keeps working. Kvakkestad tries to buck Bolt off but Bolt is having none of it. Bolt takes a little break here. Kvakkestad wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bolt trying to control the action but Kvakkestad is working from the bottom. Kvakkestad is looking to reverse the position. Bolt working away. Bolt tries to advance to mount but can't. Kvakkestad sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Kvakkestad has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bolt is working away from the top position though. Bolt is trying to control. Kvakkestad wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Kvakkestad is trying is best to control the position here. Bolt is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kvakkestad defends it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bolt prevents Kvakkestad from improving his position. Kvakkestad is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bolt's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bolt's back! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bolt looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Oooh a big shot gets through from Kvakkestad. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bolt has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Kvakkestad. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Loki Kvakkestad dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Bolt misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kvakkestad.
Kvakkestad looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Bolt lands a nice shot to the body.
Kvakkestad tries to sprawl but Bolt drives through with a takedown into half guard. Bolt is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Kvakkestad! Kvakkestad is looking to improve his position but Bolt isn't that keen on the idea. Bolt tries to control but Kvakkestad wriggling away. Kvakkestad is wriggling around trying to escape.
Kvakkestad is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kvakkestad keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Bolt sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Bolt wants to control the pace but Kvakkestad is squirming around nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bolt working away from the top, dropping strikes. Bolt takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Kvakkestad reaches up and pulls Bolt towards him, trying to control the position. Bolt manages to get a guillotine from the mount though! This could be big trouble for Kvakkestad! Kvakkestad tries to roll over - now Bolt is on the bottom but the guillotine is really deep and Kvakkestad has to tap out! Great work there by Bolt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Derwent Bolt! A very excited looking Derwent Bolt rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
