Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 18 - 5 - 1, fighting out of New York, John Fisher! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 18 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dezmond Drake! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Donald Grub and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fisher connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Fisher misses with a lunging right hand
and Drake counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Drake misses with a right hand and Fisher counters with a lovely straight right hand! Fisher throws a big shot that misses. Nice defenses there by Drake. A countering left hand to the body from Drake misses. Fisher looks to throw the jab but Drake is out of range. Fisher misses with a looping right. Fisher misses with a body shot.
Fisher has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Fisher looks to land a right hand but Drake moved out of range. Fisher jabs at Drake's body. Fisher keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Fisher just misses with a punch to the body.
Fisher cracks Drake with a good jab. This has been an exciting period of action! Fisher misses with a straight left. Fisher misses with an uppercut
letting Drake counter with a right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fisher throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Drake sees it coming and avoids it easily. Drake lands a jab to the nose. Fisher throws a right hand that misses
and Drake counters with a straight that turns Fisher's legs to rubber! Drake pushes forward with more strikes and Fisher goes down, battered and bloody! That's a wrap folks!
