PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Giacomo Bandolero (ranked 2617 p4p, 2007 weight class) and Dwayne King (ranked 299 p4p, 238 weight class). Bandolero's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Bandolero. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Giacomo Bandolero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 37 - 2, fighting out of New York, Dwayne King!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bandolero lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but King circles away quickly and effectively.

Bandolero gets a takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Bandolero looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bandolero drops back looking for a leg! King is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and King manages to kick Bandolero off! Bandolero jumps back into King's guard.

King really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bandolero. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Bandolero uses his free foot to push down on King's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for King.

King looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Bandolero throws a right and a left that King avoids nicely.
King lands with an uppercut that bounces Bandolero off the cage and back into range.
Bandolero is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that King can do to turn this around?

Bandolero shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches King napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

King throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bandolero throws a combination. King tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

King fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bandolero on the side of the head.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bandolero, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
