Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stevie Janowski (ranked 1348 p4p, 2096 weight class) and Ricky Alvarez (ranked 173 p4p, 257 weight class). Janowski's entrance music is Going Down. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Stevie Janowski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ricky Alvarez!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, John Kavanagh and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Janowski misses with an uppercut. Alvarez saw that one coming.
Janowski avoids a kick to the body.
Janowski throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Alvarez on the side of the head.
Janowski stalks Alvarez and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Alvarez's face. Alvarez staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Ricky Alvarez has been cut.
Alvarez misses with a lunging right hand
and Janowski counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Alvarez swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Janowski counters with a stiff right hand.
Janowski looks to land a combination but Alvarez avoids it well.
Alvarez dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The fighters circling - Janowski throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Alvarez throws a sloppy head kick and Janowski moves out of range easily.

Alvarez goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Alvarez throws a hook to the side of Janowski's head but Janowski sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Stevie Janowski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Janowski throws a right hand that Alvarez ducks under and follows up with a left that Alvarez also avoids with ease.
Alvarez throws a counter combo.
Alvarez takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Janowski tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Alvarez was well out of range. Poor timing from Janowski.
Janowski lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Janowski will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Alvarez lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Janowski throws a leg kick but Alvarez sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Janowski swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Alvarez moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Alvarez is looking for the big counter here.
Janowski looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Alvarez throws a series of strikes that have Janowski backpedaling.

Alvarez lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Janowski avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Janowski is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Alvarez.
Alvarez tries to counter with a clinch but Janowski shakes him off and moves away.
Alvarez takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Janowski throws a low kick but Alvarez moves out of range easily.

Janowski throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Alvarez looks for the body kick but Janowski saw that one coming.

Janowski lands a jab to Alvarez's midsection.
Alvarez has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Left hook, right uppercut from Alvarez.
Janowski connects with a high kick.
Alvarez pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Janowski avoids a punch combination nicely.
Janowski swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Alvarez throws out a counter right but Janowski avoids it with no problem.
Alvarez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Alvarez on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Alvarez throws a one two combo.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Janowski misses the shot to the body.
Janowski pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Alvarez back to the cage. Janowski follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Janowski lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Janowski.
Alvarez is rocked!
Janowski steps in with a hook that catches Alvarez right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Janowski follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Alvarez looks absolutely devastated.
