Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Curtis Barrett (ranked 24663 p4p, 5019 weight class) and Poep Hol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Curtis Barrett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Poep Hol! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Eliza Hachem and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barrett changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hol tries to avoid it but Barrett manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hol to the ground. Hol escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Hol misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Barrett fails with a takedown attempt. Hol bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Barrett is looking to reverse the position. Hol remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Barrett tries to buck Hol off but Hol is having none of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hol happy to just control the position for now. Barrett is looking for a sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barrett being controlled for a moment. Barrett sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Barrett is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hol pulls his head out easily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hol performing his best blanket impression for a moment. It looks like Hol might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Hol is continuing to stall. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Hol fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Hol fails with a takedown attempt. Curtis Barrett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Poep Hol. Barrett tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hol swivels and escapes. Barrett fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hol to the ground. Barrett is now in Hol's guard. Barrett is breathing heavily. Hol wants to sweep but no luck. Hol controlling Barrett's posture. Barrett drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hol manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Barrett has Hol in his guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hol seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Hol's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Hol stands and throws Barrett's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Hol controls the position. Let's hope that Hol has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Barrett is looking for a sweep. Barrett seems a little lost for a moment, as Hol dominates the positioning. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Poep Hol dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Hol stuffs the takedown. Hol fails to land the takedown. Hol should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Hol misses with a takedown attempt - Barrett sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Barrett half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Hol shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Barrett pinned against the cage. Barrett gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Curtis Barrett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Poep Hol. Barrett fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Hol closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Barrett to the mat! Barrett manages to get full guard. Hol seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. More stalling from Hol.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hol pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Barrett is keeping the position for now. Hol controlling from the top position. Barrett has an active guard here but Hol has managed to pass into half guard.
Well, if Hol is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Hol frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Hol controlling the pace for now. Hol with more of the same as he continues to hold on. Barrett keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Barrett working to try and regain half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Barrett is working hard here to advance position. Hol controlling from mount. Poep Hol has got the better of the ground game so far. Barrett is in all sorts of trouble here.
Hol takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The adventures of Hol the control monster continue. Boring.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hol prevents Barrett from getting the reversal. Hol controlling from mount. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Poep Hol showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round! Hol defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Barrett. Hol shoots and misses and Barrett counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Hol manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Barrett stopping the sweep attempt from Hol. Hol lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Barrett isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Hol stacks Barrett on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Hol! Hol has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Barrett is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Hol is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Barrett is looking to get to half guard. Hol controlling the pace for now. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Hol.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Barrett can't escape the position.
Hol sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Barrett is desperately trying to improve his position but Hol has a good base and remains in mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hol controlling his opponent. Barrett tries to reverse the position but Hol maintains control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Hol controlling his opponent. Yet more stalling tactics from Hol. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Barrett is looking to get to half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hol looking to control and managing it successfully. Curtis Barrett has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Poep Hol is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
And that's the end of the fight! Poep Hol comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hol has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
