Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Minatay Mibangon (ranked 23716 p4p, 23736 weight class) and Walay Buut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 46 - 9, fighting out of Las Vegas, Minatay Mibangon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 45 - 35 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walay Buut!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Buut shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Mibangon appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Buut shoots in looking for a takedown. Mibangon tries to sprawl out of it but Buut keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mibangon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mibangon throws a push kick but Buut slaps the foot to one side.
Buut follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Mibangon tries to land a front kick but Buut steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Mibangon looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Buut is fending him off so far but Mibangon persists. Nope, Buut circles away and we're back to standing.
Buut flicks out a counter leg kick but Mibangon steps away.

Buut stuffs the takedown attempt from Mibangon. Mibangon gets slowly back to his feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

and Buut counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Mibangon thinking.
Buut tries for a takedown but Mibangon sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

It appears Mibangon was looking to counter with a kick there.

Buut shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mibangon sprawls well. Mibangon wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Buut gets slowly back to his feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mibangon.
And Buut responds with a good body kick, but Mibangon manages to step out the way in time.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Mibangon tries for a takedown but Buut sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Mibangon jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Buut shoots in for a takedown but Mibangon shows good takedown defense.
Buut gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Mibangon engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Buut's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Buut looking to score a takedown here. Mibangon is defending well but Buut drives through and ends up in Mibangon's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Buut slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Mibangon is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Buut takes a little break here. Mibangon wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Walay Buut showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Buut shoots for a double leg takedown but Mibangon sprawls well. He's pushed Buut's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
