The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ratinho looking to score a takedown here. Vasquez is defending well but Ratinho drives through and ends up in Vasquez's guard.
Vasquez is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Ratinho dives into side control.
Ratinho scores with a couple of short elbows.
Vasquez tries to improve position but can't.
Ratinho tries for a kimura but Vasquez is defending well.
Ratinho throws a strike aimed at the side of Vasquez's head but Vasquez avoids it well.
Ratinho throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Ratinho wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Vasquez, who protects the arm well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ratinho throws a strike aimed at the side of Vasquez's head but Vasquez avoids it well.

Ratinho has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Vasquez is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Ratinho yanks on the arm and Vasquez is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Ratinho.
