Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paulo Mendes (ranked 1530 p4p, 2568 weight class) and Ludvig Eriksson (ranked 182 p4p, 282 weight class). Mendes comes to the ring accompanied by Future - Last Breath. Eriksson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by THICC THICCLY. Paulo Mendes has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Shimada and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendes drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
A telegraphed right hand from Eriksson misses the target.
Mendes was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Eriksson throws a lazy right hand but Mendes sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Paulo Mendes will probably get the nod.

Mendes feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Eriksson has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Mendes to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Eriksson is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Mendes pulls down on the head and he's put Eriksson to sleep! This one is all over!

Paulo Mendes decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
