Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nickolas Haley (ranked 4139 p4p, 4138 weight class) and Khamzat Aliyev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Khamzat Aliyev!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aliyev fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Haley to the ground. Aliyev is now in Haley's guard.

Haley escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Aliyev gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Let's hope that Aliyev has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Haley is looking for a sweep. Aliyev is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Haley tries to lock up and control but Aliyev gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Aliyev closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Haley tries to buck Aliyev off but Aliyev is having none of it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Haley wants to control but Aliyev postures up.

Aliyev has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Aliyev looks up at the clock and then as Haley takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Aliyev smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Nickolas Haley has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Khamzat Aliyev is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Haley drops Aliyev with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Aliyev looks back up at him and smiles so Haley waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Khamzat Aliyev.
I've got Aliyev winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
