Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rodney Derek (ranked 4371 p4p, 4114 weight class) and Josh Jordan (ranked 256 p4p, 247 weight class). Jordan has chosen Beguiled- Smashing Pumpkins as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Winston Alpacca and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Derek lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Derek tries a head kick but it misses.
A big left from Jordan misses.
Jordan connects with a nice looking jab.
A thudding body kick lands there by Derek!
Derek lands a jab.
Jordan missing with a left hand there. Derek was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Jordan throws a shot from downtown. Derek moves away and avoids it.
A chopping leg kick lands by Derek.
The fighters circling - Jordan throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Derek lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Jordan throws a looping overhand right but Derek ducks down to avoid it.
Derek with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Jordan cracks Derek with a right hand to the side of the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jordan takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Jordan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Derek fakes the leg kick and cracks Jordan in the body.
Derek throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
That's one minute gone in the round.
No joy there for Derek, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jordan appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Josh Jordan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jordan throws out a loose jab but Derek uses good head movement to avoid it.
Derek connects with a looping right hand.
Derek takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Jordan throws a combination that misses
and Derek counters with a nice leg kick.
Good exchange - Jordan coming out on top.
Jordan wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Derek with a nice calf kick.
Jordan takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Jordan takes a head kick and keeps coming.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jordan throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Derek counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Derek avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Jordan just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromDerek.
Derek with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
The fighters circling - Jordan throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jordan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Derek moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Derek uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jordan.
Derek bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Derek feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Jordans jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Derek throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Jordan's head.
Derek with the inside leg kick.
Jordan misses with a body shot.
The fighters circle momentarily. Derek darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Derek chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Derek connects with a body shot.
Derek stalks Jordan and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jordan's face. Jordan staggers backwards, shaken.
Derek keeps Jordan at a distance using the push kick.
Derek connects with a good right hand that stumbles Jordan. Jordan circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Jordan is rocked!
Jordan misses with a hook
and Jordan takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Jordan is still on wobbly legs! Can Derek finish him?
Derek is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Derek throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Jordan's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Derek dives in looking to finish as Jordan flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Derek's strikes! Derek is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Jordan's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Jordan was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
